Officially a Wife

I’ve been coveting a red Kitchenaid mixer for a few months now. I registered for one at Target and some lovely ladies in my ward back home banded together and got a gift card so I could obtain one at a more reasonable time, i.e. when I don’t have to move across the country.

Yesterday as I was dreaming of the day I would obtain said Kitchenaid I decided to hop over to the Target site and found out that there are exactly 23 different colors to choose from. I couldn’t take the madness, I had to call in for reinforcements. That’s when Lisa-Face came into the picture.

She, in all her ingeniousness, started pining for Persimmon and Cinnamon. I told her about our recent venture to the outlets near Sir Luke’s parent’s home in Boston. They had a Majestic Yellow mixer on sale for $169.99! But sadly the red mixer I wanted was still $299.99. As much as I love the happy, cheery face of a yellow mixer, my heart was set on red.

Again, Lisa and her magic mind came to my rescue. “I wonder if you could find it discounted online?” So I decided to Google “yellow kitchenaid 5 qt.”

SUDDENLY!!! A blog with a great bit of info popped up with discounted Kitchenaids in every color available on Amazon.com! PLUS: $30 rebate from Kitchenaid themselves!

You can imagine the rest is history. $169.99. Red Kitchenaid.
