Coldplay goes FREE

Posted on Apr 30, 2008

Coldplay is releasing a new album soon.

From today, 4/29, to 5/6 you can download a free copy of their new single “Violet Hill.”

I’ve only listened to it once. But I think it’s pretty good. I’ve had a fondness for Coldplay since I first heard “Yellow” on KROQ back in 10th grade, thanks Rodney! I saw them play a smaller show in college after the release of their hit sophomore album “A Rush of Blood to the Head.”

It was the best show I had seen up to that point and only seconds to Travis’s concert from last summer.

They’ve modified their website for the new album. I clicked around and found that they are also playing a free show in London. And then I read this:

Why Coldplay!? Why? I just left! And now you want to play me music for FREE?

I still love you.

Horses Think

Erik posted about Ofer Wolberger‘s site horsesthink.com. Erik won photograph #3 by being the third person to send Ofer and email requesting the photograph.

I won photograph #5!

I had forgotten that I had even emailed him about this print. I love the view of the ocean and the cliffs. There is something so delicate about the fog lazily sprawled across the ridge. I want to be the unknown woman looking over the edge. I wonder what she is thinking about.

Thank you so much Ofer!

Nie Nie Vintage

A couple weeks ago Stephanie Nielson, of the “Nie Nie Dialogues,” asked her readers to send their favorite vintage photos. I sent a photo of my Grandmother Ruth Nichol.

She posted it on her blog today!

She even made a shout out to my vintage collages! Thanks Stephanie!

Addicted

Sir Luke is an addict.

A Kool-Aid addict. At first, I thought it would tear us apart.

The lad made a gallon of Kool-Aid on Sunday and it’s nearly completed.

Oh, yeah!

My Boss

Don’t worry.

I work for the man that wrote this song. Shane Stevens.

Here he is showcasing his pipes.

I have to admit I was totally blown away when I found out today. And I love his voice. It’s way better than the Garden that is Savage.

Aid in the Kitchen

I’ve been on a food storage kick lately. Now that I have a husband and a little room to spare I want to be prepared. We’ve been purchasing in bulk when things are on sale and I’ve slowly started purchasing food storage from church.

It’s amazing how many things you can store. Who knew?

The next big purchase I want to make is the KitchenAid wheat grinder. My good friend Ann is going to get the inside scoop on whether or not this attachment is worth the pretty penny. Granted, I did get a 20% discount with my KitchenAid rebate AND they’ll throw in free shipping when I purchase more than $50.
