Kitler

So my roommate Holly told me about this site to make me feel better because i had a horrible day at work…

This is no joke. It’s KITLER!!!!!

And I found this on youtube today which made me happy.

and now i’m feasting on reese’s peanut puffs, ice cream, raw cookie dough, and soon macaroni and cheese. my roommates are pretty much the best ever and after a day like today all i want to do is be an old fat woman living with cats on a beach in miami taking pictures of all the men my little heart desired.

And that would be that

Due to the fact that almost my entire possee left the city I have accquired a new one. Last weekend they went camping for the weekend. I, however never have enough time during the week for errands an other such things, thus I did not attend.

The matter of the fact is that I have looked at these pictures so many times now that I really feel as though I was there.

I guess my hair cutting video convinved everyone that I am by far the greatest movie maker ever!

well duh

So…this weekend I spent catching up on all the things that I haven’t had a chance to do in the past few weeks. Alas laundry did not happen because our washer and dryer broke, so I have no ideda where or when I am going to do laundry. Fun times!

So instead of laundry I thought it was high time for a new dye job since my hair has look like this:

for far too long. I took a vote at last week’s “Project Runway” gathering and 2/2 men agreed; that brown/red is better than my own ashy blonde coiffe. So I set up my computer to document the ch-ch-ch-ch-changes to my color…but then, things got a little out of control…

Well there you have it. A new look for me? I haven’t had bangs since I was 15. I think the 7 year hiatus was good; but a new dawn has risen. Yea for bangs!

Weeks End

So this weekend was pretty much AWESOME!

There were so many great things that happened.

1. I got to sleep in on saturday, which I haven’t really one in a while.

2. I went to the light house festival. Look up the little red light house on google images. I took some really sweet pics on my polaroid which will be up on my blog soon.

3. We went to central park on saturday to go to the mock refugee exhibit thing that Medicins Sans…shoot…Doctors without Borders is what it is in English. But we didn’t get in because it was too late and we couldn’t get in.

4. Watched the Central Park Dance Skaters groove to some sweet tunes in the park.

5. Went on the carousel!!!!!! Oh my heavens I love them sooo much!

6. Ate delish food and danced the night away.

7. Watched Edward Scissor Hands

8. Sunday: got to actually go to the Refugee exhibit thing, which was very interesting and moving.

9. Met up with my friend Jared, who was in town getting the rest of his stuff so he can fully move away from me to Boston…lame.

10. Ate at Dinosaur BBQ!!! Freak! So good I can’t even handle it.

11. Got to ride in the middle part of a two part bus, which I thought was just as good as Disneyland (Jared thought differently)

12. Got to see inside a bunch of she-she apartments on central park east.

13. Road in the back of a suburban around Manhattan trying to figure out where I lived whilst attempting not to die amongst all of Jared’s junk.

14. Showed off my roof to Jared, who is supremely jealous!

I guess I liked linking things tonight!

Hello all!

I have moved…fianlly. It has taken about two weeks for me to get here entirely, which was exauhsting. Thank the heavens for Christopher or I would have never made it! We took most of my stuff in a taxi after I about killed myself two days before treking my bed and bedding an towels and pillow on the A train down to 145th from 181st. Kids, don’t try this, EVER.

My job is going well. My hours have steadied out some. 9-7:30 or so, which I clearly don’t get paid enough to work, but whatever. It’s a job and I figure I need to pay my dues a little. I’m really excited because Christina is moving back on Thursday!!!!! YESSS! AND not only that but Jared comes back this week to get some more stuff before he moves to Boston. I’m pretty stoked to see both of them this week. It will be a nice weekend.

It’s a little hard to try and move into a new group of friends. Just about everyone I spent my summer with moved away last month so I’ve had to find a new posse to carry on with. Which has turned out well.

My new place is really sweet. It’s a 4 story brown stone. We occupy the second and third floor. It is gorgeous. Watch the video. you’ll get the idea. I’m still working on finding storage and a dresser and such to put all my stuff in. I tried to downgrade on belongings but owning 10 cameras really doesn’t help at all; plus Amy Lee has inspired me and now I seem to have accquired a few books along the way… I have 4 roommates, Holly (works at a mental health clinic…coincidence? I say not), who I share a room with, Jen and Becca (both teachers inthe Bronx), who share a room, and Karen (a stuent at Columbia getting her PhD in something that I’ve forgotten but it has to do with aiding coutries in working out kinks in schools, really awesome!).

I hope all is well. Enjoy the video!

Love,
Me

A Mom Weekend

Posted on Sep 1, 2006

So last weekend my mom came to visit me, which was the best idea since debit cards. It’s been pretty sad since all but one of the people I spen my free time with left the city to mve onto bigger an or better things. While I was at work yesterday Sarah invited me to a video chat…I felt so sneaky! She couldn’t see me at all and Amy (our receptionist started busting my chops (who came up with this saying?). It was fantastic. Oh I miss you Sarah!!!!

Anyway, the mom visit was awesome. I had to stay at work on Friday and again on Monday, which was sad because I wanted to see my mom AND she was all by her lonesome in the big city. We went and saw Jersey Boys, which although foul in language was quite entertaining. We stood in line to get the stuent rush tickets and ended up sitting one in front of the other in the first and second rows smooshed in a corner. If there had been a fire it would have been easier for me to climb onto the stage than try and make my way down the aisle. I’ve gotten this fire safety trait from my dad. Everytime I’m in a crowded place I start looking around to see how it would be best to exit with a swarm of people. The show was fantastic and made me extremely nestalgic because my best friend Keri (on her mission in Germany) and I used to dance to Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons in her living room on this awesome jukebox that her dad had.

We went to the Bronx Botanical Gardens on Sunday afternoon. It was raining a lot and I didn’t know how to get there, so it was all guessing and I whined a lot about the rain. Once my mother was reverted back to my 10th year for long enough we miraculously reached the gardens and witnessed the grandeur that is Dale Chihuly. His work is fantastic. He hand blows glass into these amazing sculptures. At the gardens they were dispersed between all these amazing plants and in water. It was fantastic.

I made a little movie of our times.

I will upload pictures later…it’s not working right now.

Fare thee well
