Kasey & Anthony: Married at Canyon Gate Country Club
When I first met with Kasey last year I knew we were meant to be. She was/is so vibrant and fun! And then she showed me her wedding dress that she had selected just a few days before.
Good night nurse!
She was breathtaking! Even in the yucky fluorescent lighting of the bridal salon. I just stared into her eyes and said, “ok, I have to shoot your wedding.” Clearly I’m very persuasive 😉 If you’ll remember Kasey and Anothony’s engagement photos you’ll remember how freaking gorgeous they are together. Somehow I gather the most beautiful people as couples. How does it happen?!
The whole wedding day was cool and relaxed in ambience and hot and sweaty in temperature. Maaaaan was it a scorcher! Kasey was a trooper in that dress. I’m convinced someone should invent a fan girdle for these summer brides in Las Vegas, it can be rough. But who would know from her calm and joyful face?!
One of my favorite moments from the day was Kasey walking down the aisle and saying to her dad, “I can’t believe this is happening right now!” It was adorable! Add to that the sweet vows that the two of them shared and it was one of my favorite ceremonies to date. So genuine and personal. I am so blessed to be part of the first day of the best parts of relationships, marriage. I hope you’ll take a few minutes to soak in the goodness from the day. It was magnificent!

Kaitlyn & Seth: Wedding at Mandarin Oriental Las Vegas
Mandarin Oriental is one of my most favorite places to photograph weddings on the Las Vegas Strip. The floor to ceiling windows in the ballrooms make photographing receptions so great! I mean the view of the strip out the windows is epic. The balcony outside is a great place for guests to take in the sites and get the total package on your destination wedding. Kaitlyn and Seth pretty much put together the most epic party for their guests. Kaitlyn added so many DIY details that she and Seth drove out across the country to make their day more personal. The whole day was so happy. I’m fairly certain it is semi-impossible for Kaitlyn not to smile. She is the sweetest most considerate person ever, as made even more evident by the beautiful toasts from friends and family. Sit back and enjoy the beauty of this very Vegas affair! They recently added a new addition to the family, another darling Chinese Crested! Check out more details and personal accounts from Kaitlyn on the blog Little Vegas Wedding!

Kaitlyn & Seth: Engagements in Downtown Las Vegas and Neon Boneyard
Spending a year getting to know a couple via social media is the best lead up to an epic engagement session in Downtown Las Vegas and the Neon Museum. Meeting each other for the first time in person was like seeing old friends for the first time in ages. We had such a great time exploring all the amazing art that is painted all over the buildings downtown. I think we have a new arts district.
After breaking the ice we headed over to the Neon Boneyard to end out evening touring the rad neon signs. The only thing that could have made the evening any better was adding their Chinese Crested dog, Harry to the mix. Luckily I knew I’d see him a few days later at their wedding at Mandarin Oriental. The sweetest dog ever!
Because Kaitlyn and Seth couldn’t fit in their engagement session in their trip to Vegas before the wedding we did it the week of the wedding after they made their epic road trip from Massachusetts to Vegas. It doesn’t matter if it’s the day before, engagement sessions are so awesome and, in my opinion, critical to getting comfortable in front of the camera. I mean, we’re not all Jay-Z and Beyonce! Check back tomorrow for their wedding awesomeness!

Kasey & Anthony: Engagements at Lake Las Vegas
Kasey and I hit it off from the moment we met each other at the Coffee Bean at Town Square. She showed me her wedding dress in a picture on her phone and I almost fell out of my chair! So stunning! This girl is a beauty, my friends. I feel like this year I have hit the bridal jackpot (to use a Vegas term). All my brides are like total hotties. It’s a good thing Kasey thought I was charming and not a weirdo stalker who was instantly obsessed with her.
When I met Kasey and Anthony at Lake Las Vegas I realized more than ever that I am short. I know this an be disconcerting for a lot of couples. “Is she going to be shooting up my nose the whole time? How can she possibly get flattering photographs of us?! I have my ways, friends, and they don’t require a step stool.
Nicole & Derek: Engagements at Mt. Charleston
I met Nicole and Derek on a bright, late November day at the cutest coffee shop in Mountain’s Edge with their coordinator, and my dear friend, Angelica from Green Orchid Events. The two of them are perfectly adorable together. Nicole is a serious beauty and Derek is the classic country boy wearing plaid and trucker hats. It’d kind of the cutest juxtaposition ever.
Nicole really wanted their engagement photos taken before the new year but as I pointed to my giant belly I told her, you really don’t. The belly just isn’t conducive to bending or squatting for photographic greatness. So we waited until 6 weeks after Ruby made her appearance. And it was waaaaay worth it! Trekking to Mt. Charleston was so beautiful
So pumped for their wedding at Legend’s Ranch in October!

Jennifer & Jose Wedding at Springs Preserve
My very last wedding before I put myself on maternity leave before Ruby was born. When I met with Jennifer and Jose about booking their wedding, I told them I was pregnant and would be super pregnant at their wedding. Lucky for me they trusted me and with just a four hour stint I knew I could pull it off. With the help of the lovely Jodi from J. Anne Photography I captured a beautiful wedding day full of flowers, bubbles, and cupcakes. Delicious cupcakes. Don’t knock a pregnant girl for eating cupcakes! Springs Preserve weddings are always so lovely. A beautiful setting for the nuptials and small gathering of close friends and family afterward. I loved how intimate everything was. And the girls from Scheme Events had everything taken care of and went off without a hitch!
