What I’ve been up to
I went from Vegas to Santa Monica to Sundance in one week. It was sorta crazy but totally worth it to be with all these amazing and gorgeous people. More to come on each soon!
To top it off I had two more portrait sessions. I’m pooped. What did you do last week?
Today…
I am photographing a drear friend‘s wedding in Utah at Sundance. This is what she made for the men folk.

Karla & John’s Wedding: Sneak Peek
Karla and John got married two weeks ago at Loews Lake Las Vegas. You need to go there. It’s a total Moroccan desert getaway just 30 minutes from Las Vegas. Stunning location for this beautiful couple. I can’t get over how stunning Karla is. No offense John, you’re pretty handsome but that wife of yours, good night!
I have one of the craziest weeks of my life starting tomorrow. Three weddings and a family portrait in three different states within a week. Heaven help me! But you my friend, you should take a nice relaxing weekend. I’m sure I’ll be completely MIA next week on this blog. I hope you can forgive me.
Happy weekend!
Display Thursday: Corners
There are spaces that are sometimes small and all you’ve got to work with is a corner. Or you’d like to fill a section of space across a corner. Don’t feel inhibited with your design if it’s interrupted by a corner. You can totally work with it and still create a beautiful gallery.
I love this use of drawn wallpaper with frames that incorporates kids art and framed pieces. It’s kinda awesome that you can make a two dimensional drawing become a three-dimentional piece. I am in love with this. This might just change the future of my walls. Especially in the stairwell….oh the gears, they are a turning.
I saw these Sumi frames by Busso on fab.com the other day. If you haven’t signed up for fab.com you really should. It’s a great place to find awesome design on sale each day of the week. Ok anyway check out these sweet corner wrap frames. LOVE.

Using symmetry to move around a corner is a great way to maximize space. In this small corner it really expands your eye up from the chair rail. Plus by putting larger pieces on bottom and making them get smaller on top adds to that eye trickery of being super high. Like a mountain, kinda… Oh and I also love the seems they painted on the edges of all the walls. Kinda rad.

So would you ever wrap images around a corner? Or do you have a small space for photos that you thought wouldn’t work because the corner in the room breaks it up? I hope these ideas have helped you out!
Katie & Ryan’s Album
It’s been quite a few months since I sent off this album to Katie and Ryan but I am finally getting around to sharing it with you! I was able to rush the book so that Katie could have it in time for her short visit with her hubby in England, where he is stationed in the United States Air Force. I was so happy that they were both so pleased with the album.
One of my biggest regrets in my wedding photography package was not getting an album included. Mainly due to the fact that I still do not have a wedding album. I’d love to be able to have one I could flip through on anniversaries or Valentine’s Day or just whenever I need a little love boost. I fully recommend ordering one so you don’t ever have to worry about it. Just pick your favorite photos and I’ll tell your story.
Pinhole Press Premium Products
I like alliteration, don’t you?! I’ve found this new company, Pinhole Press, that makes the most beautiful products that highlight photos. Remember how I am constantly trying to find ways for you to display your photos? Well, this my friends is the perfect place to purchase gifts with your photos. Especially right before the holidays. Only two-ish months until the gift giving season is upon us. I usually have things ready by now, but not this year! Les yipe! I need to get to it asap.
Anyway go to Pinhole Press, load your photos and shop away. I’ve seen their products in person at WPPI and know you will love them. Believe you me. One word: classy. They use high quality papers and printing to ensure you have a lovely product. Is it weird to call something inanimate, romantic? That’s how I feel about these things. It’s just really beautiful. I am all over the photo notepads. I really love them.
In other news, for the number of times I type definitely in a given day you’d think I could spell it correctly more than one time out of ten…
