Display Thursday – Unconventional Places
Why conform to putting photos where everyone else would? How about adding your art prints to places that brighten every corner of your home?
I love this image that was put behind plexi-glass on the kitchen island in this home in Sweden. The plexi keeps with the modern aesthetic in the home and fills what would have been a very lackluster space.

This staircase makeover is such a cute and fun idea for displaying family photos. It’s like a little secret. Can you spot the family photos amidst the Damask pattern? I love this idea…it’s got my wheels turning.

Lisa & Steve: Married!
I went down to CA a couple weekends ago for Lisa and Steve’s wedding in Los Angeles and Carpinteria. I took little Ripley dog with me who was a surprisingly awesome road trip companion. She loves a good car ride and sleeps in her little bed pretty much the whole way.
Lisa and Steve met up in Idaho and thought doing a wedding in CA would be a teensy bit warmer than Idaho in February. Despite the crazy rain storm that threatened to ruin the day we got loads of photos during each of the breaks in the weather. Just 20 minutes before we went down to the beach it was hailing! Can you believe that? Crazy!
Thanks to Lisa and Steve for letting me be a part of your big day!

Display Thursday Outside the Box
Who says you have to keep photos framed in order to display them? These great ideas for photo configurations won’t break the bank because you don’t blow the budget on framing!
I love this idea! Bring more attention to a doorway into another room. I think this would be great in a nursery. Put all sorts of family photos up and continue to change them as your baby grows!
Love this huge wall piece with inspiring photos. I would love this in my office. I could keep adding and move from wall to wall. I probably would have loved this idea as a teenager too! All my photos with friends would make like a giant wallpaper.

Why be constrained by the shape the image and make it into a shape. A great way to show someone you love how much they mean to you. Plus who doesn’t like a graphic heart? Make it a little more chic by using black and white image in a metallic finish.

Remember you don’t have to stick to the box to display your favorite photos!
Eagle Scouts
Tre and Koy had their Eagle Court of Honor last week. It is a HUGE accomplishment. There is so much work that goes into getting your Eagle and tons of community service. These images were displayed at the big event.
Display Thursday – 4x6s
It’s almost the weekend! So get ready for projects with these inspiring photo collages!
Hallways are the perfect place to showoff your collection of photographs. This display’s uniformity makes the images the focal point with no-fuss framing. Love the length it gives to the hallway!

Check out this DIY display of photo proofs! How great is this? It’s also a great way to integrate photographs through the years. Or what about displaying kids photos as they grow over the years? So many possibilities!

Create a great piece of art that can integrate old and new photographs. It can act as a replacement for wallpaper or paint.

You can do each of these with just 4x6s!
Display Thursday – Vintage Style
I’ve been attending WPPI (Wedding and Portrait Photographers International) all this week. Let me tell you it has been SO inspiring! My cup filleth over. Such a fantastic experience to learn from some of the best people in my field.
Ok, now down to brass tacks! I’m a sucker for old mixed with new. Here are some great ideas for making your photographs carry on the vintage feel.
I love the combination of Victorian style frames combined with gallery wrapped canvas pieces. It’s a great mix of old and new. Painting all the frames the same color helps them become uniform.

Use your other collections to feature your photographs. Have a bunch of vintage bottles? Show them off along with your family for a nostalgic feel.
Keep that vintage flair throughout your house.
