House Phase IV

Posted on Sep 11, 2009

The speed of the house has been unreal. We try to visit almost every week but even then we still miss progression.

We snuck in a little piece of Stay in the property. Fun huh? I’m glad we showed up before the driveway dried!

It says STAY ’09. Oh an don’t worry, those dead trees in the front yard are now growing new leaves.

Nichol Grandkids!

My family is blended. So when discussing who these photos are for it gets a little confusing. These are my nephews and niece. You’ve probably seen them before and will see them again. My sister, Kathy, called to let me know her mother (Kathy and I have the same father) wanted some photos of her grandchildren. While I have some thirteen nieces and nephews on my side of the family there are only three directly related to her.

So, I obliged because who would pass up the chance to roll in the grass and step in dog poo to get photos of these charming faces?

I love them all!

On the Wall

My friend Phil bought a few of my “Small Town” series photos and he hung the interior of the school house up on his wall!

You can order the same one or others from Instaproofs too and give your walls some ART!

Natellie & Damon: Married

Posted on Aug 31, 2009

On August twelfth Natellie and Damon were married in Las Vegas at the Rainbow Gardens. Discovering family in the heat of the valley has been great and being a part of the wedding day was so incredibly fun. Sir Luke’s family sure knows how to have fun!

Just check out the awesome day!

Side note: Is Jaelyn not the cutest ever!?

House Phase III

Posted on Aug 28, 2009

After last month’s crazy mix-up Sir Luke and I have been visiting with a lot more frequency. We have made a few beer can discoveries which are a little disheartening (two of which were stashed in the media panel in the laundry room, weirdos). But all in all everything is progressing nicely.

Here’s some of what’s happening, BIG changes since the last post.

The left photo is the blue upgraded heat protection we purchased. And we can already tell it’s going to make a world of difference in our electricity bills. It’s unreal the difference in temperatures from the porch to the entryway. Sir Luke is continually shocked, now that we’ve seen our AC units, (we opted to upgrase to bigger ones on his suggestion as a former Houstonite) at the thought that people wouldn’t opt for larger ones in such a hot place. Apparently these big ones will cool our house down fast, thus not having to work as hard and lasting longer.

When the stucco went up (the top picture on the right) so did the drywall. We had an inspection with our superintendent, Shaun. It just gets more and more exciting as time goes on. I can’t wait. The design ideas for the space are spilling out of my noggin in abundance. At first I was totally overwhelmed but now I’m just stoked since these many ideas are coming together finally. HOORAY!

And I’m back…

I know it’s been quite a while friends. Sorry about that. I guess I just got overwhelmed with blogging!

So here’s a preview of some of my favorites from all the shoots I did on my blogging hiatus. I’ll for sure post more later!
