Curtains Continued
That heart is a pin cushion I made when I was probably ten. The pins were left over from a Polaroid board my mom made for the wedding. The carpet is new and I am loving my polka-dot fabric more and more every time I look at it.
My mom helped me figure out these French seems. I wasn’t buying it at first. She was having my sew my pom poms on the back of the curtain. I couldn’t wrap my head around the concept that they would end up on the front. But in the end they did.
The dark blue crepe material for the bottom fo the curtains was crazy stretchy. Not so good when you’re trying to make a curtain that is the same length from one side to the other. In order to maintain my 28″ length I had to use Sir Luke‘s tape measure. It ended up working out really well and was a lot easier then my regular sewing tape measure because Sir Luke’s actually stayed where I wanted it to be, unlike the fabric. I spent the majority of last Saturday pinning. I hate pinning…I like sewing, but I HATE pinning.
