Displace Me 4/28/07

I went to Croton Point Park on 4/28/07 for “Displace Me,” an overnight excursion to help spread awareness about the 21 year war in Uganda. The whole thing was really awesome. I helped check people in by taking pictures of everyone that came in. There weren’t as many people there as signed up. But I think a lot of that was because the weather forcast said that it would be pouring rain all night long. In the end the 21 minutes of silence I’m sure was frought with prayers of, “please, don’t let it rain God.” Many of which came to me. We were in complete silence for 21 minutes for every year that Uganda has been at war. 21 years.
