Murder at Chez Stay
Sir Luke and I hosted a murder mystery Halloween housewarming party. We had it the night before Halloween so everyone could go trick-or-treating with their kiddos and get a break.
We had a photo-booth for mug shots, loads of food, homemade personal pizza and of course murder! Our murder mystery kit was by “How To Host A Murder” The Chicago Caper. Only slightly confusing to start because we’d never done one before but in the end everyone got into it and had a ton of fun.
Rocky AKA “Ernie” & Courtney AKA “Torchy” (Can you believe Rocky isn’t into this kind of thing? I was blown away when I opened the door)
Dan AKA “Ascot” & Heidi AKA “Silky”
Brandon AKA “Billy” & Janae AKA “Scoop”
Nikki AKA “Gogo” & Cody AKA “Socks” (Everyone kept thinking Brandon was “Socks” due to his chosen uniform, ha!)
Chelsea AKA “Molly” & Oliver AKA “S. Harrow” (Do you want to mess with Harrow? I don’t!)
Sir Luke AKA “Baby Face” & Me AKA “Greeta”
The kit only came with eight characters so I made up four more for Sir Luke (Baby Face Smelson), Nikki (Gogo Chanel), Dan (Ascot Fitzgerald) and me (Greeta Gobo). We made sure to have bottled IBC root beer and a little Lemon Perrier. Tasty. We inherited some neon letter from a temp job I did back in May. Sir Luke’s been trying to rig them to light up but it turns out there is a lot of crazy stuff involved so we had to opt for another method. We called our speakeasy The Crooked Easel.
Yes, Sir Luke parted his hair.
This is probably my favorite shot of the night. All those cloche hats made me swoon.
Oliver is a lawyer in the real world so I thought casting him as the DA was fitting. He pulled it off effortlessly. I’m pretty sure the whole thing went over well due to his awesomeness.
Wow, what a production! You, my friend, are amazing!
So Awesome! I love the look of the photographs. Sir Luke definitely looks 1930’s ish.
My brother and his wife just did the same exact thing last weekend. How funny!
this is FABULOUS!!!!
