On Target
Turns out, finding a job is hard and grueling. I am feeling a little useless right now. Painting the house is all I have going for me on a day to day basis. It’s not fun. One room would have been cake but the daunting task of doing the entire house is beginning to drag me down.
The good news is that sometimes the gadgets you buy, hoping they work, actually do work!
I was hoping that the sleek design wouldn’t be overshadowed by the fact that it didn’t function. But the snazzy Dirt Devil Cone hand vacuum (ours was only $35 at Target) looks good and seems to pick up a lot of dust and dirt. The boys that lived in our house before us were slobs, plain and simple. Painting the baseboards is pretty nasty. But thanks to my handy little vac I can paint with 80% less grossness(you don’t want to know).
Item number two that shocked me into belief is this new fangled painting edger. I saw it in Target with Sir Luke the other day and thought it would be pretty awesome if it actually functioned properly. And function it did!!
I couldn’t find the picture on Target.com so this one from Ace Hardware will have to do. You just let it glide across the wall and it rolls along the ceiling. Granted we still taped off the ceiling for a more precise paint job but in all it works well in coordination with the regular paint rollers.
So here’s to you Target. For selling me products that meet my expectations. Cheers.
I know how you feel about finding a job. It is a demoralizing, dehumanizing process. In addition to finishing school, that’s all I did from the end of October until December. I’m hoping a job magically falls into my lap when I’m back from St. Louis, Louie.
Aren’t those edgers great!? We used those when we painted our living room. I’ve seen those hand vacs around for a while, and always wondered if they actually worked, or if it was a case of form over function. Glad to hear they’re actually good! Try to keep your hopes up in regards to the job hunt. It’s tough and depressing, I know. Hopefully something will turn up soon!
