We finally made it to New York City after being delayed by a snow storm in Vegas (had to leave a day later than planned) and a snow storm in Boston followed by a serious case of sniffles and Christmas. So we drove down on the 27th and stayed at Mysti and Randy’s place in New Jersey. It was a pretty quick trip which consisted mostly of wandering around in SoHo and the Flat Iron District. The Flat Iron is my favorite building in Manhattan. I used to work a block away from it and passed it pretty frequently.

It was a little bizarre going back to the city. Every now and again I missed it but mostly I was happy that in the end I was headed back to suburbia. It turns out I’m just not as city girl as I thought!

What were you made for? City? Country? Suburban sprawl?

I think I was made for a metropolis immediately surrounded by suburbia… i.e. Salt Lake, Phoenix, San Diego, Portland. Basically the West Coast.

I love your bangs! And I miss Mrs. MRS. Haha…say that five times fast.
