Damaging Images

Aug 12, 2006  |  Posted by:

Reuters is a news agency that hires out freelance photographers to cover the war in Iraq and other such waring nations in the Middle East. This kind of photography is called editorial which means it is not manipulated. it is straight forward, you catch it while it’s happening, you tell a story with your images. This kind of editorial is different from magazine editorial which is generally an on location shoot with an individual that is set up but tells the natural story of the person, often in their own enviornment.

Reuters hires a lot of reelance photographers that are already living in the Middle East to shoot including this guy Adnan Hajj. Well Hajj is about the dumbest guy (i refuse to call him a photographer) I know up to this point. Reuters had for a period of two weeks lowered its system of checks for uploading images onto their server, which is when Hajj decided he could upload any images he wanted, icluding those that he had manipulated to look more devastating than normal.

Apparently no one taught him how to properly use the cloning tool, which, in case you don’t know, copies one part of your image over another part.

Thanks, Hajj, for making all of us less credible…you’re a real winner or is it weiner?

    Hey Mego,

I guess Hajj needs a professional whack on the butt.

Haso & her friend watching the house have not seen hide nor hair of Smokey. Maybe he shifted his algenience to another home or met an unfriendly coyote.

Sorry we miss you on the phone.
