Display Thursday

I’m starting a new trend here at MegRuth Photography Blog: Display Thursday!

Thursdays every week I will share with you ideas for displaying the artwork that you can purchase through me with the photographs I take of your family and at your wedding. I love interior design almost as much as I love photography. Here are some great ideas to help you plan your next installation!

Today are features from Design Aglow:

This piece is called a diptych. One photograph is cropped into two pieces and displayed in close proximity. I love how it can turn one of your favorite pieces into a huge wall of art! This could easily be done with canvas or framed prints like you see below.

I do this with most of my art and photo collections. I start with one frame and build off of it. That way you can keep adding new pieces. Keeping everything on a grid makes them look cohesive, even if the frames and art is totally different.

An accordion display on the mantle is a simple and chic way to display your images. Keep them monochromatic or spice up a simple space with color.
