Display Thursday: Hanging It

Nov 10, 2011  |  Posted by: Megan Stay

Well it’s been a mighty long time since I’ve done a Display Thursday! So I’m finally getting my groove back before my “groovy” shoot tonight with the Scheme girls.

Since I’m hanging out today waiting for test results on my little dog’s seizure from yesterday (uh…totally scary) I thought I’d share some ideas for literally hanging your photographs.

First, I adore this idea of using clothes pins to clip images to strings of lights. I would opt for a more retro strand a-la a french bistro and use bigger images. Each light actually highlights the image so you can see them in the dark. So cute!

This cute idea uses wooden skirt hangers to hang artwork which could easily be changed for photographs, or mix and mingle artwork with your family photos. It’s fun and quirky and I can dig it. This might have to make an appearance in my Anthropologie style guest room

I love this velvet ribbon used to wrap the edges of the canvas and hang on a hook. It looks so elegant and a little Marie Antoinette-esque. Totally romantic. You can find velvet ribbon like this at Joann’s but not in a huge variety of colors. Take a look online too.

Do you love these? I’m considering all of them. So…I need more free walls, fo sho.

I think the twinkle lights would be great in my kids room. I could hang up family photos and their little pieces of art work and the whole thing could be their nightlight.
