Display Thursday: Stairs

We’ve got a serious wrapped staircase begging for something to be done with it. I have great plans for photos in my stairwell. While I build my collection I’m toying with the idea of creating a space that I can build upon. What I have up now is pretty pathetic. So these stairwells really have my blood pumping.

Having wrapped stairs like I do this would be a totally viable solution. Putting a grid of images on the stair landing is definitely eye catching and using black and white makes it very sleek and classy. Using a frame with a mat means you can use less images to fill up more space. I would take this all the way up to the ceiling for a high impact statement!

This idea is probably my favorite. I love the linear movement up the stairs. Since mine wrap this will be a little tricky but could be totally doable and it makes a real statement. The other aspect that sets this apart is that all the frames touch. No space makes the line more definitive AND really draws your attention into what makes up the line. I’m sold!

These stairs are beautiful but no railings give me a little scare. If I did have stairs sans railing I would be totally up for something like this. I love how the tree moves above the stair-line. I love how some of the images hang off like ripe apples or changing leaves. Such a beautiful mural that incorporates family photos into your family tree!
