Even More Yosemite Pictures

This was our first full day on the trip. After our hike up to Yosemite Falls, seen in Monday’s post, we went on a Valley Tour for two stunning, long and hot hours. It was really amazing to see everything and learn so much about the history of Yosemite that I had never known before. It was sweltering but well worth the heat to see all of the Valley in one fell swoop.

One of my favorite stories from my childhood is a story about the creation of El Capitan (seen in the picture with the binoculars). It’s the story of two bear cubs that go wandering off on their own. They fall asleep and wake up to find they are thousands of feet up above their home. All the animals try to get them down. The mountain lion jumps up and scrapes the side of the granite face of the mountain and cannot make it. But it is the inchworm that climbs ever so slowly up to the top and rescues the cubs by lowering them down with his silk strands.

It’s completely unrealistic but SO awesome. You can buy it here on Amazon.

It’s so good to see all your family! I love Isabella’s excited face. 🙂 Too funny. It’s so cool that your family can get together like that and do fun things! What an amazing trip…I love reading about it and seeing it.
