Everyday I Wake Up

I went to see Travis last night. It was by far the best show I have ever seen. I was absolutely blown away. Luke and Yancy came along for the fun and were pretty impressed themselves. I’ve been dieing to see Travis live since I was 15. The boys said I couldn’t stop smiling. I will admit I was pretty giddy. But can you blame me?

The opening consisted of the introduction to all the Fox films followed by the rocky song. They came bounding in from the back of the Fillmore and, YES, I high fived Fran! That’s right, you can officially be jealous.

They played all of my favorite songs. It was unbelievable. At one point I turned to Luke and said, “The only other song I really want to hear is “All I Want To Do Is Rock.” And lo and behold, the very next measure was the intro to that song.

The feeling of the crowd singing was incredible. Everyone was so thrilled to be there and hear them all. They are so much fun and play beautifully. I didn’t get to video a lot of stuff because I couldn’t stand still. I was bobbing along like no tomorrow, and it was glorious.

This cute little grandma was just singing along like it was her full time job. I like to think that she is Fran’s grandmother. It was so adorable.

One of the first songs they played was “As You Are.” I cannot tell you how dear this song is to me. It was heaven to hear it live. Spencer used to play this for me all the time. I wish he had been there to hear it with me. This is for you Spencebot.

I can’t wait to see them again.

Thanks, Travis, my dreams have finally come true.
