Johnny Boy

I was in California and Utah last week. I have to brag about the amazing record I procured from Graywhale in Draper. Johnny Cash Sings Hank Williams!

Can you believe it? And it’s an original Sun record from 1960.

It’s pretty scratched and they came down on the price, but it still sounds pretty sweet.

Some other sweeties I got were:

  • Doris Day – Hooray for Hollywood
  • The Phenomenal Dukes of Dixieland – You Have to Hear it to Believe it! Vol. 2
  • Nat King Cole – The Greatest of Nat King Cole
  • David Bowie – Diamond Dogs
  • Simon and Garfunkel – Wednesday Morning, 3am
  • Dolly Parton – Best of Dolly Parton
  • Della Reese – A Date with Della Reese at Mr. Kelly’s in Chicago
  • Jan and Dean – Command Performance Live in Person

I also found this sweet book of 45s at DI in Provo, including:

  • The Cordettes – Lollipop
  • Rosemary Clooney – Half as Much
  • Nat King Cole – Sweet Bird of Youth
  • Frank Sinatra – You Forgot All the Words
  • The Platters – Out of My Mind
  • Patti Page – Keep Me in Mind
  • David Seville – Witch Doctor
  • Deion – The Wanderer
  • Elvis Presley – Hard Headed Woman
  • Perry Como – Catch a Falling Star
  • The Fontaine Sisters – The Banana Boat Song
  • Bobby Darrin – Splish Splash
  • Connie Francis – Among My Souvenirs
  • Johnny Cash – Guess Things Happen That Way
  • Sheb Wooley – The Purple People Eater

Now put that in your pipe and smoke it.
