Johnson Family: Las Vegas Family Portraits

Fact: I’m afraid of infants. Terrified even. Thus, me and newborn photos will never be. At one point I thought I could get past it. Buuuut, until I am forced to get over it (read, when I have my own) I will probably continue with my ridiculous phobia.
When babies reach four months of age I suddenly overcome my fear of them and instantly want to hold and squeeze and kiss them. Chubby cheeks, precious smiles, and giggles. GIGGLES!
Little Harper is ten months old and A-DOR-A-BLE. I couldn’t get enough of her. I met her mom, Jamie, who owns the fabulous Bella Bridesmaids in Las Vegas, while working on my Desert Dream styled wedding shoot. Jamie was so generous and a bit of calm in my coo-coo-crazy mental state. I was so happy when she contacted me to photograph her beautiful family, featuring her darling Harper and husband, Marty.
I loved that Jamie wanted casual photos in her home. A real exploration into their family life. Something to remember when your kids are being photographed is that they need breaks, especially little bitties. Don’t be afraid to let them be photographed doing everyday things, like eating peas, or crawling underneath tables. Let your kids’ personalities shine, all their little nuances should come through. They’re only this age once. And they might not always scrunch their noses when they giggle.

Love these three.
