Now that sounds like a delicious sandwich, and a recipe for safety!

It’s always been a wonder to me what kind of callings a newly married couple gets at church. Most of the time I hear primary teachers or sacrament greeters. Usually something together.

Not so for the new Mrs. Stay. Oh, no. I get to be a Cub Scout Leader! That’s right folks, me and some other poor sap and 8-10 ten-year-old-boys. Hooray for Webelos!

My “craftiness” has gotten me into trouble once again. I’m not really sure what to do with them. But PopSci gives a fabulous 5 minutes course in how to make your own SLIME!

I did this in 7th grade science and thought it was about the most awesome thing ever. It was right around the era of Nickelodeon’s Gak extravaganza.

I don’t really know how this fits into merit badges but maybe this water safety ranger has some ideas.

I had to listen to this guy go on for a while today. There are a lot of tests a Cub Scout Leader has to go through. Don’t worry, they don’t let just any old crazy mold children.

I like the slime idea – the boys will LOVE it. Ask Luke for ideas – he must have been a Webelos once and an adventuresome little boy as well and since you didn’t get to grow up with any brothers, he’s the best example you have!!

    Love, Mom

Welcome to the ranks! I’m a Cubmaster – I don’t envy my Den Leaders though. They do all the work and I just get to be the ring leader at the culmination of all that work.
