The Bruderers

Posted on Oct 15, 2009

Last year I did a shoot for the Bruderers to kick off my business. A lot has changed in just twelve months. Ben wasn’t digging the cold weather but he still looks adorable, plus his parents are hot.

So say hello to the Bruderers 2009!

Britta Anne Photography

Britta and I have know each other for seven years…(wow, that’s weird to think we started college together seven years ago). She and I worked together throughout our photo classes and have continued to work together over the years.

I asked Britta to photograph Sir Luke and me for his parents Christmas gift this year. We gave them prints of all their kids last Christmas but ours wasn’t updated so…here we are!

It was fun since we never did an actual engagement shoot. I had taken this Polaroid just an hour before Sir Luke proposed and we never took another one.

Thanks Beastie!

Coming to UT in October!

Hello dedicated readers of MegRuth Photography blog. As you can tell I’ve been slightly neglectful of this blog. But I promise I have a good reason. We’re moving!

We got the keys to our new house last night and we’re moving boxes today and tomorrow. Wish Sir Luke good luck.

Anyway the point of this post is to say we’ll be in UT October 6, 7 & 8 and would LOVE to schedule a family photo session with you!

Shoot me an email (meganruthstay (@) gmail (dot) com) or give me a call (702) 714-0634 to reserve your session time before they run out!

1955

This is my dad (center) at a dance circa 1955. Wasn’t he handsome?

The photographer, Lloyd Huff actually embossed his name into the corner of the photo. Crazy.

Reid Family

Caroline is my brother-in-laws sister. I have always been jealous of her red hair and now I can be jealous of her sweet new baby Hope. Clayton and Caroline stopped by my house on an adventure to Las Vegas. She was brimming with baby Hope at eight months pregnant, and I thought she might burst on my couch!

They are such a sweet family and we had such a good time down in Malibu for their family portraits. It was Labor Day weekend so we had to dodge a few beach goers and two other photo shoots (one featuring Lucite stiletto heels, a tent and a shirtless photographer with a cheap camera…awesome). I think we made out ok though, don’t you think?

Thanks for letting me capture your beautiful family Caroline and Clayton! Congrats to you both again!

Zobrist Girls

I had so much fun spending the evening with these cute girls. Annalise is the youngest and turned three on the fourth of September. Her mom wanted to commemorate the occasion with some birthday photos.

I love capturing children in their own environment. She couldn’t get enough of showing me around her room and all her favorite things.
