Tawnya + 1

Posted on Dec 12, 2008

Tawnya and I met back freshman year at BYU. That’s also when she met the love of her life Kyle. And now they have a bouncing baby boy named James.

While we were up in Utah for Thanksgiving I did five photo shoots. It was pretty intense. But Tawnya was up for a maternity shoot even though she was already a day overdue. Poor thing!

James finally decided to make an appearance last week. Don’t they look so happy? 10 lbs 2 oz. That is a serious baby.

This is the Tawnya I know and love. Goofy, silly Tawnya. Congratulations!

In other news today is my last day at my job, I quit. Full time photographer now. So spread the word!

Adam & Ethan

Posted on Dec 11, 2008

A departure from the Stay family photos with my nephews Adam & Ethan. They are the sons of my sister Kathy and her husband Jeff. Kathy asked me to take a couple photos for their Christmas card this year. I started using my new lens and was having a little trouble with the focus. But we got some good stuff even though I only shot about 30 frames.

Jesse & Family

Jesse, social media guru, is the oldest of the Stay bunch, is married to Rebecca and has a fabulous family. We love visiting them when we go up to Utah.

There are four adorable kids in the family: Thomas, Elizabeth, Jesse III, and Joseph.

The kids were a little difficult to capture all smiling at the same time. But that’s what the power of Photoshop is for, yes?

Crystal Dawn

As part of a Christmas gift for Sir Luke‘s dad this year I’m taking photos of all the Stay kids and their families, if applicable.

The youngest of the Stay clan is the adorable Crystal. I pretty much love this girl. She even blogged about me over the summer while she was bored at her temp job. Awesome.

Excuses

Posted on Dec 8, 2008

You’ll have to excuse me today. I, and Sir Luke, are both recovering from an incredibly horrendous bout of food poisoning. Then again, I’m not sure when food poisoning isn’t incredibly horrendous.

I’m sticking to lemon-lime Gatorade and Saltines. Wish us luck!

Sonicare

Posted on Dec 5, 2008

I brush m teeth too hard. On my last visit to the dentist a couple years ago I had 8 multi-surface cavities… It was fairly traumatizing and I’ve been vigilant about my teeth ever since. Thanks to my NYC roommate Holly I started making a better habit of flossing everyday. And with the insistence of Sir Luke I rinse with ACT daily as well.

I had a recent check up and to my surprise I had a clean bill of health. The only suggestion was to help my sensitive teeth with a higher concentrate of fluoride to lessen my sensitivity to cold and sweets and get a better toothbrush that will prevent me from brushing so hard. Dr. Cozine said that electric brushes that go in a circle are not good but instead I should get one that only vibrates, like Sonicare.

So that is my last and final wish. I guess it should have probably been my first. But none the less. There it is!

What are you wishing for?
