Style Me Pretty Feature!

It’s a super big deal to be featured on a well known wedding blog. Yesterday Tamara & Evan’s wedding graced the wall of Style Me Pretty, one of my favorite Wedding Blogs. I kept very good track of that blog when I was planning my wedding back in 2007.

Tamara may be familiar to some of you because of her awesome blog 31 Dates in 31 days. In January of 2009 Tamara was starting her 31st year. She was frustrated with her dating experiences and decided to venture into a dating “challenge.” 30 first dates with 30 willing guys which culminated with a second date for one lucky guy Valentine’s day. Can you imagine venturing into this kind of experiment to end up with the man of your dreams? Evan was a fill in for Tamara’s 6th date and ended up getting the coveted second date. The rest is history! Tamara is currently working on a book documenting her experience. So be on the look out!

Tamara and Evan were seriously a stunning couple. Every detail was thought out so elegantly. I knew Tamara when I lived in New York but the wedding day was the first time I met Evan. From the moment I saw them together one word came to mind, perfection. You can see the love and romance in their eyes and can’t help but smile. It was too hard to choose a few photos to share.

The reception was held at the Marion Davies Mansion in Santa Monica, CA and it was the most perfect venue I’ve ever been to. I grew up driving down Pacific Coast highway admiring the dilapidated building and wishing someone would do something grand with it. In June they finally reopened to the public and it was perfection.

A Sneak Peak

This wedding was extraordinary! Tamara and Evan are a wonderful couple and I was so elated to be there for their day.

I’m heading out to Los Angeles today! I’m photographing the wedding of a dear friend in Santa Monica on Saturday and I can’t wait!

The reception is at the Marion Davies Mansion and it looks like the most glorious venue! I look forward to sharing the images with you next week.

Steph an Steve are friends that I I hold dear to me and have since I was a wee one. They dated in high school and married shortly after Steve returned home from his mission. They are the perfect pair and now have two little boys to add more love to the bunch.

We had so much fun at the Malibu Pier. Cooper was loving the beach and exploring every inch with his trusty stick. He wasn’t interested in having his photo taken but we managed to get some wonderful shots. Little Colby is only a month old but has already proved to be a contender for cutest Barrus boy.
