Back In the Habit

Posted on Jul 15, 2008

I took a hiatus from blogging when we got back from our fabulous trip to Yosemite. If you haven’t been, really, really go. Go as soon as you can. It is so beautiful and completely stunning. There is no where else that you can see that kind of beauty.

I had so much fun seeing my family and camping in a cute little cabin. I’ll be posting pictures this week from the trip. I haven’t been able to load them all yet because my hard drive is nearly full, again.

And it’s back to work!

Fortunately For Me

I got to be with this good lookin’ man for 24 hours a day for seven whole days!

I love him.

Finally

Jessica “Awesome” Peterson photographed our wedding back in December. I love love love the photos. We’re on a pretty tight budget and getting any printed has been on the bottom of our list. Food and gas are fairly important. But the main problem is that Vegas is missing a really great lab.

Maybe this is something to consider…Britta?

Anyway, last week at work they decided to give us the option to make our work-spaces more homey and told every worker to bring in a photo that we would like enlarged, mounted and framed to hang up in the office. So naturally I chose one of our wedding photos. The only thing that’s going to be a little weird is having mine and my husbands faces as a 16×20 at work. It’s worth it though. Eventually I figure I’ll be able to take it home.

Thanks for taking such wonderful photographs Jessica!

J. Smith EP

Posted on Jul 8, 2008

I got an email from Travis last week advertising their new EP J. Smith. They’re selling the single on CD and vinyl. I have now begun coveting.

On our trip last week we stopped at Amoeba on our way out of town. We picked up a load of new Laser Discs and a couple CDs. Sir Luke is convinced by Tuesday he’s going to be completely sick of Alphabeat. I tend to get a little obsessed with new music when I first get it.

I finally got the new Coldplay CD too. I really love it. I’ve been to a couple shows, the last of which was here in Vegas. Pick it up if you don’t already have it. You won’t be dissapointed.

Shakespeare

I never got to go to Shakespeare in the Park whilst living in New York. I guess the whole waiting in line for 2 hours on a Saturday morning, hoping I would get free tickets wasn’t all that appealing. Who knows. But, living in Las Vegas has given me the close proximity to the Utah Shakespearean Festival in Cedar City, UT.

I’m hoping before their season ends Sir Luke and maybe some other friends will make it to the festival. So who wants to join us at the end of summer at the finest festival in the land?

Fourth of JULY!

Posted on Jul 4, 2008

I’m off to Yosemite. I’ll be gone all of next week. Fear not faithful readers, that means you Crystal and Capree. You will still see new posts every day thanks to Google Reader’s new feature that allows me to schedule posts in advance.

Here is a fourth of July from yesteryear. This was my first attempt at a video in iMovie. So don’t judge me too harshly.

That was a great summer. It’s weird to think I didn’t know most of those people until that very day. My how time flies. I miss you all! And apologies to Jared for all of those yucky Richard Marx effects.
