Travis: Ode to J. Smith

Posted on Aug 14, 2008
Seeing as how I know a J. Smith I feel completely obligated to show my enthusiasm for our friendship by purchasing the newest Travis album. I LOVE Travis. I guess that’s pretty apparent by now. But in case you didn’t know, here it is again. I LOVE Travis!

I’m not quite as captivated by their first single off the album as I was by the last. It reminds me of the sound from their first album Good Feeling. It’s a little edgier and less melodic than The Boy With No Name.

This week is chalk full of activities and projects. I’m still going through the nearly 1000 images from the Dam Wedding last week. Posts will probably be slow this week. Sorry to those who actually read my blog.

(If you can’t tell or even if you can, yes that is Chipotle, and yes that was one of the awesome wedding events. Yep, awesome)

Graveyard Visit

Posted on Aug 12, 2008

Part of the wedding events last week for the Jensen/Moran wedding was a visit to the Neon Boneyard. I was pretty excited seeing as how I just found out about it a few weeks ago. There were only a few from the wedding party that went as it was about 2pm and 100 and some odd degrees outside. I was pretty wrecked after being out in the sun for an hour. I don’t know how people do it!

I shot some Holga too but I haven’t taken it in to get it processed yet. Will do soon.

RedBox Free Wednesdays in August

Posted on Aug 11, 2008

I got an email from the fine specimens at RedBox. They are promoting this August with free movie Wednesdays! You have to send them your cell phone number and every Wednesday they text you a code to get your free movie.

We like RedBox for new releases so we don’t rent too many from Netflix. Netflix will bump you in priority if you request new releases all the time.

I love free stuff!

I made another treasury on Etsy. Are you sick of these yet?

Electra!

Sir Luke and I ventured to REI last Saturday to buy a CamelBak. Unfortunately the CamelBak was too expensive this go around BUT I did get to ogle over the new favorite thing of my life.

The Electra Amsterdam Classic 3 for Ladies
.

Hello! Bright yellow with tulips and green rims! Not to mention the rad branded leather seat and handle bars. I even got to sit on it and ring the bell. Sir Luke says it’s to heavy and only has 1 speed. But I figure it will just make me work harder and get more exercise.

Oh man, my heart is a flutter.

In other news my friend Tess is getting married today in Colorado. Congrats to Tess and Kevin!
